Have it Tuned Regularly
If you have recently bought a grand piano in Florida, you will find that your piano slips out of tune often. Newer pianos need to be tuned more regularly because as you play your new piano, the strings stretch, getting acclimated to its new environment. When the strings stretch, your piano will fall out of tune.
It is recommended that you have your piano tuned about four times in the first year of ownership and twice in the second year. If you have an older grand piano, a good rule of thumb is to have it tuned once a year.
Keep it in the Proper Location
When you first buy a grand piano in Florida, you need to decide where to place it in your home. Too much humidity or too much dryness can damage your piano.
