Many people assume that electronics, computers and automated equipment work best in a dry, dust-free environment. However, dry environments are rarely dust-free, particularly when it comes to industry applications. Higher humidity also reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) which can cause shorts between equipment, blowing out expensive controls and circuits. The correct humidity will also increase worker safety as there is less risk of electric shock when workers make contact with equipment.

Equally important is the use of a quality industrial humidifier to maintain a safe, healthy working environment. This can assist in heavy dust areas of the facility, eliminating the need for other types of air filtration systems.

With the correct humidity, temperature control is also easier. This provides a cost-effective option for maintaining the best temperature for materials as well as for staff.
